Letting the Days Go By (2017)

Working under the guise of 'Ratilomend', Itself a creative and unique anagram, Tom Ireland works within a variety of mediums, to create a range of dynamic and exciting pieces.

His most recent Design work has seen him explore the modern obsession with the digital world and our increasing dependence on technology. (Leading to works such as ‘Letting the Days Go By’).

However, his Photography has taken him down a different, perhaps quieter route – working heavily with the idea of ‘Contrast’ and exploring the differences between city life and rural life; expressed through architecture and the local environment.

These earlier works were captured in the ‘Don’t Ask Zines’, a series of zines created by Ireland himself. Each 'Zine' is designed around a featured topic, using a varied collection of images to explore the subject in a way Ireland refers to as 'Imaginative'.

Despite struggling to put down exactly what it is that he does – Ireland explains that he likes to explore whatever takes his fancy, in a “Fun and Imaginative” way. It's this experimental approach and 'willingness to try out new styles' that Ireland credits to his success, in both his freelance and personal work.
